MyPatients (https://mypatients.childrenshospital.org) is a web-based portal that enables providers and practice staff outside of the Boston Children’s Hospital computer network to view real-time clinical information about their patients’ care at Boston Children’s Hospital. MyPatients offers a secure, convenient, and easy-to-use way for outside providers to track and coordinate their patients’ care at Boston Children’s Hospital.

REGISTERING FOR MYPATIENTS

Who can register for the web based version of MyPatients?

  • All providers with an NPI may access the web version of MyPatients using one of two types of accounts:
    • MyPatients email account (registered email address and password)
    • Boston Children’s Hospital Credentials (Children’s ID and password)

SPONSORED USER ACCESS

What is Sponsored User access?

用户访问允许临床医生与一个NP赞助I and an active MyPatients account to sponsor their clinical and administrative practice staff, including registered nurses, referral coordinators, social workers, and office managers. All Users who do not have an NPI number can be registered as a Sponsored User under a physician at their practice.

How do I register a MyPatients Sponsor?

To register a Sponsor, users need a MyPatients account. Boston Children’s Hospital credentials may not be used to sponsor users.

How does a Sponsor create an account for a practice staff member?

To create an account for a practice staff member, please follow the instructions below:

  3. Click “Create New Sponsored User”

I need to reset my password or secure questions

To reset your password:

  1. Go to theMyPatientshome page
  2. Under the password box, see “Click here to reset a forgotten or expired password.”
  3. If you are a referring clinician, enter the email address associated with your MyPatients account to receive a single use passcode and further instructions.

I am a Boston Children’s Hospital Provider having issues logging in

To log in, please use your BCH credentials (CH ID, enterprise password, and Duo Mobile authentication).

If you have not yet transitioned to Duo Mobile, please refer to the eHelp page for instructions. If you need require Duo Mobile assistance, call the help desk at 617-355-4357.

PATIENT ACCESS HELP

I’m a PCP, what patients will I have access to?

You or another provider at your practice will have access to view medical records for all patients who have you or another member of your practice listed as their PCP on their BCH medical record.

I’m a Sub-specialist/Non-PCP, how can I view my patient’s records?

亚专家和其他非PCP提供商可以访问MyPatients和查看病人的记录是否列为member of the patient's Care Team. Sub-specialists and other non-PCP providers can also individually request access to patients’ records.

In order to be added as a member of a patient’s Care Team the patient/legal guardians will need to take action. Please ask patients/guardians to add all providers to their Care Team list at Boston Children's Hospital. Patients/guardians may request to make changes via the patient portal during pre-check-in or at the kiosks during check-in. Care Team members can also be added or removed when calling to schedule an appointment or checking in for an appointment.

In order for a Care Team member (Non-PCP) to be updated, the patient or patient’s family must verbally confirm the request. Please note this process takes 3-5 business days. Once added to the patient’s ‘Care Team’ list, you will be authorized to access the patient’s record through this portal AND you will be a recipient of all automated clinical document distribution.
